About Natanz Steel Complex
Natanz Steel Industrial Complex is the largest private company in the country which is involved in producing steel and steel products. The complex has been constructed in 1994 on an area of 1,200 hectares in Fulad-e-Natanz Industrial Estate located in the city of Natanz.
Natanz Steel Industrial Complex activities include the iron ore mine exploitation, manufacturing crude steel, steel ingot, rolling final product in various types of coil bar and constructional and industrial branch and a variety of wires which are carried out quite technically by utilizing the most advanced updated technology in the world.

Natanz steel and iron plants complex includes several manufacturing, industrial, and commercial departments such as Natanz ironstone project, Natanz iron plants, steel industries plants and other institutions.
Investment on heavy industry (steel) in the private sector, planning and implementation of production chain completion in its medium term and long term programs from upstream industries (direct reduction) to downstream industries (manufacturing nail, rivet and lace) and evolutionary trend to enable the country to do without importing steel final products are considered the most important strengths of Natanz Steel Co. and these are the reasons for distinction between Natanz Steel Co. and other similar companies. Planning and investment on the development plans and projects which are performed to integrate the production chains and unify products markets have been continuously and uninterruptedly in progress for almost over the past 10 years. One of them is inauguration and establishment of the industrial coil rebar production line, with different diameters in the newly inaugurated unit with a nominal capacity of over one million tons per year, which was achieved in 2009.
Achievements and successes of Natanz steel and iron plants complex:
- Installation and setup of hot rolling lines in the sections of industrial coil rebar and constructional and industrial branches with over one million tons
- Installation and setup of the melting project No.1 with capacity of 150,000 tons per year
- Implementation of the melting project No.2 with 70% progress, with a capacity of 600,000 tons per year
- Implementation of the melting project No.2 with 40% progress, with a capacity of 1,700,000 tons a year
- Some plans under investigation and setup for pallet manufacturing and sponge iron production with a capacity of 2,000,000 tons per year
- Construction of a 400 MW combined cycle power plant
